This is my first post here at 100 Bloggers. It’s the first time I’ve done anything like this outside of my own personal blog, and I’m still getting used to the concept of a group thing. I’m hoping that if I make errors like posting the wrong kind of thing in the wrong place, someone will gently point me in the right direction.
The blog I do and love is a journal of what I learn every day. I’ve found that while sometimes it’s hard to find a lesson in every day, the act of sitting quietly in the evening and thinking about it has been an unexpected, pleasurable bonus. It’s very calming and centering, yet stimulating at the same time. Searching for lessons has trained me to keep a greater level of openness in my brain receptors. I feel more aware, more awake during my days. I’m paying attention. I’m listening. I’m learning. I absolutely love when the ping in my head goes off and I say, “This is it! This is what I learned today!”. It’s usually the days when it appears I’ve learned nothing that I eventually find my best lessons. Some evenings there is absolutely nothing for the day, so I’ll look up something I’ve been wanting to know about, and that’s been good for me too. I like the fact that I am indeed learning “something new every day”. I look forward to my daily, “What did I learn?” contemplations. I can’t wait to see what I’ll learn next.
