This past year my wife and I have worked hard to grow our business and one the best things we have every done is to get involved in local networks for professional development. We have been involved in several “industry focused” network meeting ranging from entrepreneurship to internet security. Not only has this introduced us to new clients and partners in business but the simple act of meeting with others and exchanging ideas has helped both of us develop our social skills as we both can be reserved. We have also been about the see things in a new light. In 2007 look beyond you local workgroup, neighborhood, church, etc. and see how you can branch out into your community and on the Internet.
