Why Give Linklove? Per Brian Clark’s The Viral Copy Report: “…linking out to others often is one of the keys to blogging success. It may be counterintuitive, but it is the engine that drives the blogosphere.” You need look no further than Liz Strauss or our very own Phil Gerbyshak to see the results of effective outlinking. Both the blog maven and relationship geek dedicate large portions of their blogs to outlinks, which in turn, has resulted in massive personal networks (casts of thousands).Â
Common Forms of Linklove Include: trackbacks, comments, social book marks, tagging, blogrolls, guest writing on other blogs, and blog and RSS directories.

In his March 8th post, RAT link value checklist, Peter demystifies the RAT (Relevant Authority Transfer) equation with a checklist. The checklist contains 18 items and takes some time to work through, but reportedly gets results. I have yet to try it myself, but will soon and will post my findings at Orbit Now!
